2. Write down their answers on a board or chart paper (expected answers: water, sunlight, soil, air).
3. Explain that today they will be planting their own bean seed and taking care of it to see how it grows.
**Activity 2: Planting the Bean Seed (15 minutes):**
1. Demonstrate the planting process:
- Fill the plastic cup/pot with soil.
- Make a small hole in the soil using your finger.

2. Hand out observation journals/worksheets.
3. Show students how to draw a picture of their planted bean seed and write down the date.
4. Explain that they will observe their bean seed every few days and note any changes.
**Conclusion (5 minutes):**
1. Recap what the students did today and what they learned about planting a seed.
2. Encourage students to observe their bean plants at home and share their observations in the coming weeks.
3. Answer any questions the students might have.
**Assessment:**
- Participation in the discussion and planting activity.
- Completeness and accuracy of observation journals/worksheets.
**Follow-Up:**
1. Schedule a few minutes every few days for students to observe and discuss changes in their bean plants.
2. Plan a follow-up lesson on the different parts of a plant as the beans begin to sprout.
**Notes:**
- Be prepared for possible spills and messes; have paper towels and a cleanup plan ready.
- Adjust the lesson timing and complexity based on the students' engagement and understanding.
